Conversation Hour
The CIEP offers weekly Conversation Hours for CIEP students to practice their conversational English skills and expand their understanding of U.S. American culture with the help of volunteers from UNI. Conversation Hour is currently held over the virtual video platform Zoom. Each week, participants work in small groups to answer questions, discuss a topic, or play a game to improve their listening and speaking skills. UNI student volunteers help to facilitate conversation, answer vocabulary or contextual questions, and provide insight to U.S. American culture.
